We finally made it to our final destination, Chengdu, Sichuan China, after over 24 hours of traveling.
Our flight out of Chicago was delayed nearly an 1hr 1/2, making it very close to missing our connection in Beijing.
We made the connection to Chengdu but our bags didn't. Luckily, the bags were on the next flight out & arrived at the airport about an hour after our flight.
We hung around at the airport until we had our bags in our hot hands.
The flight was very long & very crowded, but not too bad overall.
We finally got to bed around midnight & I'm already up after only 5 hrs of sleep.
We meet our guide at 9am & drive about an hour to the orphanage to meet our little one!
As soon as I can, I'll post photos.
