Thanksgiving- Part 2

I'm sure glad I packed the kids swimsuits.
We took a road trip to Malibu & enjoyed lunch oceanside with Mimi & Papa.

The kids loved eating lunch with out their shoes & playing in the sand.

This was right before a seagull swooped down, took our french fries & pooped on the table.
The girls were put on bird patrol after that incident.

The water was pretty cold but that didn't stop the girls from wading in the water & letting the waves chase them.

It was great enjoying the warm sun & disconnecting for a bit.

Definately a great way to spend the day.
Loving the beach life!
As I type this post, it's a balmy 12 degrees here in the Midwest!
Wishing I was still at the beach!

Thanksgiving Vacay

We took a break from the Missouri weather & headed to sunny Los Angeles for the Thanksgiving holiday to visit Aunt Susan & Uncle Glenn.
My parents had nothing but time on their hands & so they drove to LA!

I guess you could say this was the girls "first" memorable plane ride.
They were perfect angels on the flight.
With 5 of us, M & I sat in a row & Neil, Bria & H sat behind us.
As we were taking off, M reached her hand between the seats & grabbed H's hand & asked if she was ready...such a sweet tender moment.

When we landed, M stood up & asked if everybody was ok!

We took advantage of the unseasonably warm temps & went hiking.

A trip to the most magical, happiest place on earth was on our list.

My nephew Ian & friend,  Michael joined us for the adventure.
With Ian's bum ankle, we were handicapped for the day with a wheelchair.

Hands down, the best part of the day!

The end to the perfect day

I think the girls were asleep by this time & didn't capture the pure beauty of the castle....
breath taking!
